take the responsibility of dealing with it.

Psychological Testing

Standardized psychological testing and evaluation become imperative in order to formulate effective treatments. Our psychological tests help us determine the root cause of your problem so that we can implement the right course of treatment for you!

Psychological Testing aka psychological assessment is a formal way of conducting tests by utilizing standardized tools and techniques that drive tangible results. These tests help professionals reach a hypothesis about an individual’s capabilities, personality, and behaviours. Some of these tools are also used to facilitate the diagnosis of a specific mental health condition or disorder.

Whether you are an adult trying to cope with the after-effects of lockdown during a pandemic, a woman fighting overwhelming emotions on a daily basis, or a teenager trying to cope with peer pressures, it is important to know what lies underneath your emotions and behaviour. Through our mental health venture Manasa, we aim to offer psychological assessment in a responsive, caring and professional environment. As unique as every individual is, so is our testing procedure, modified to serve your clinical needs.

Psychotherapy & Counselling Services

A patient lying on a vintage couch, crying their gut out. A nerdy looking psychologist, dead serious, taking notes. We’ve figured that life is far from being a movie. And one needs a friendly and unbiased professional that offers tried and tested strategies that help to cope.

Express, discover, heal! We often express our problems and feelings to the ones closest to us. But in this process, our feelings often get lost in judgements and prejudices. What is needed instead, is a neutral and an empathetic perspective obtained through a professional. Through psychotherapy available at Manasa, you can talk about the things that are weighing your mind to a professionally-trained listener who has tried and tested methods that can help you heal.

  • Myth: Therapy is for crazy people
  • Fact: Therapy is meant for individuals who understand that they need help in coping through emotional disturbances caused in daily life. A therapist can offer them with tried and tested methods that help them gain emotional stability and confidence.
  • Myth: Therapy is for the self-centred and overly dramatic individuals
  • Fact: In fact, therapy is meant for people who are solution-oriented, aware of themselves, and do not believe in shutting down their emotions. Through therapy, one can take substantial steps to overcome the problems and take responsibility for their actions.
  • Myth:Therapists just want to talk about my relationships
  • Fact: Knowing about a person’s relationships with family, friends and inner circle helps your therapist to recognize unhealthy patterns and defence mechanisms that might be reflecting in your current behaviour.
  • Myth: Psychologists give sleeping pills
  • Fact: Psychology professionals do not treat the symptoms but the cause. Just like fever is a symptom of different physical ailments, lack of sleep is a symptom of a few psychological conditions. At times, the medications given to patients act on neurotransmitters that induce sleep chemicals so that the person can have a good night’s sleep.
  • Myth:Psychologists and Psychiatrists are the same
  • Fact: A psychologist holds a Masters or a PhD in Psychology and hails from the field of Arts and humanities. A psychiatrist holds an M.D. in psychiatry and hails from the field of medicine.

It is not necessary for one to suffer from chronic mental illness in order to get psychotherapy or counselling. We choose an eclectic approach to fulfil your needs rather than rigidly following a particular therapy method. It’s time to become more self-aware!
